Elections have Consequences
As our Texas primary election comes up, make sure and vote. Check the candidates out & see what they stand for. I would encourage you to vote Biblical values.
Texas Values has a list of candidates they support. You can also go to ivoterguide.com.
The Fellowship of Christian Auctioneers International (FCAI) is encouraging everyone to renew their dues.
We minister to auctioneers & their families as well as deployed troops. Thanks to everyone who has already renewed.
In Romans 12:5 scripture states “For we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”
In Matthew 9:12 & 13 scripture states “But when Jesus heard that, He said unto them. They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick 13 But go, ye and learn what that meaneth. I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
The Rancher’s Code
Give everything you’ve got in everything you do.
You’re only as good as your word, so never go back on it.
Stand up for what’s right, even if you’re the only one standing.
Honor our nation, and the men and women who protect it.
Serve as a steward of the land, because the Lord ain’t makin’ any more of it.
Give thanks every day for what you have and the people who got you there.
The person next to you is more important than anything on your mobile.
Never post anything online you would not say to someone’s face.
Respect the opinions of others, even if you do not agree with them.
When you get knocked down, get back up.

Pray and Then See Your Doctor
Pray and Then See Your Doctor
We have had several friends who have had serious health issues and did not go to the doctor. One of our friends was having chest pains and refused to go to the doctor. He went to be with the Lord a few days later after having a heart attack.
Our nephew, Stephen Fortner, is hospitalized in Lubbock. He got a leg infection and did go to the doctor. His friends decided to call an ambulance. He lost his right leg and left foot. Stephen said to thank you for the prayers.
One of our employees, Gary Claborn, had a problem with his hip. He didn’t want to go to the doctor. When he went, the doctor told him he would have lost his leg if he had waited any longer. He has had a successful hip replacement and is doing fine. Gary said thanks for the prayers and the cards you sent.
If something changes with our health, get to a doctor and get it checked out.
“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18 vs 24.
I stopped on my way back from Clovis, New Mexico to see Lou Ann and Stan Young. They haven’t been able to make it to the conventions for several years. I met Stan’s mom. She is on the prayer list and has had health issues. Lou Ann is having heart and lung issues. We had a great visit. They said to thank you for the prayers, cards and emails.
The group Acts of Mercy is the group that Travis Kaddatz went with last June to minister to Ukrainian refugees. Acts of Mercy has sent people to Syria and Turkey to help with the earthquake victims. Keep them in your prayers.
We received this from Monti & Tracie Davis after the passing of Montie’s father.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and sending the care package including the devotional among other items. The Body of Christ is such a blessing in these moments.

Tom Taylor, retired Air Force Veteran, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, in his home in Hondo, Texas. A great joke teller, he will be missed by all. He attended America’s Auction Academy. He enjoyed seeing everyone at the conventions. John Sisk called. He attended the funeral.
Our good friend & fellow auctioneer, Jeff Duncan of South Carolina has introduced a bill that will put an end to one disturbing social activism practice by government employees. The Old Glory Only Act (H.R.146) will officially prohibit the flying of flags other than the American flag over U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.

The Most Misunderstood Honest Man
By H.S. Kaspar
I lived and I loved.
I lost and won.
I pushed and I shoved,
And wasn’t always the best son
I tried and I hurt, And it was never enough.
But that didn’t stop me from being a flirt.
It also didn’t stop me from being tough.
What I’ve said is sure true.
It’s surely no lie.
But that didn’t mean
That I didn’t try.
It took me some time,
And a good lookin’ gal,
But I knew what I wanted,
& turned on a dime.
I quit drinkin’ and sinkin’
And I tried to live right.
I know at times I fell short,
But I gave it a heckuva fight.
I argued with God more than a time or two,
But it sure didn’t stop me from wearing a cross
on my neck and in my pocket too.
I could be shrewd and rude and obnoxious and drunk.
I could be ruthless and wreckless and run a suck.
I won’t deny it. The shoe fits.
But, I’m here to tell you; you don’t have to stay in the pits.
You can take all that ugly and turn it to good.
You can talk to the drunkard and take their keys when you should.
You can take you lessons and turn them to good,
For the downtrodden, the bruised, the lonely and rude.
You can encourage and mend and visit…
Treat every person as you should.
I’ve sat with the man without Christmas gifts for his son.
I’ve enjoyed the company of those, where addiction has won.
I’ve called the father of a kid having a rough night.
I’ve pulled kids from a ditch when something didn’t go right.
I’ve encouraged those trying, and not getting nowhere.
I’ve asked for forgiveness, when I was too much to bear.
I smiled and I talked and I took the time,
To let you know you were noticed and all was all right.
I’ve said it for years and it’s still true today.
I’m the most misunderstood honest man…that fact will stay.
May God Bless You,
Alvin Kaddatz
You Can Make a Difference
We receive many thank you cards-mails, and letters of appreciation from auctioneers. Your involvement in the Fellowship of Christian Auctioneers International (FCAI) has given families the support they needed.
In Luke 10 vs 30, Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan. This reminds me of all the auctioneers who help those in need. Not only did the Good Samaritan take care of the wounded man, but Jesus states in vs 35 that He told the innkeeper, “Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spend more, when I come again, I will repay thee.” We received this thank you note from Doug Bradford’s Dad:
I want to thank you for the package of items of Christian encouragement and your prayers for my healing. I am humbled by your thoughtfulness. Healing is occurring and I know this is all in accordance with his provision. I enjoyed some of the coffee Doug shared with me this morning.
Thank you, Jim Braford
Our friend Lyle Bond went to be with the Lord December 21, 2021.
He graduated from high school in 1955 and enlisted in the US Navy in June 1955. He toured the world on the USS Northampton. He told of his adventures of travel with love and fondness especially Italy over the years. After 4 years of active duty in the Navy which were very near and dear to his heart and 4 years of reserve duty he was honorably discharged on June 4, 1963.
He married Denise Harris on February 2, 1963, and to this union Bret Andrew and Sara Ann were born. The family moved to Colorado, Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska and finally to Texas where he and Denise retired in Round Rock.
Lyle returned to Iowa in the early 1960’s and began his career as a radio personality at KAYL in Storm Lake, IA. He moved to Sioux City, IA and became a TV Weatherman. Lyle was selected by UPI as one of Iowa’s top 6 newscasters in 1964. He also enjoyed other careers in the Executive Recruiting and Real Estate industry but his love for the auction industry won out as his last career with daughter Sara by his side. Together with Denise, they built TNT Auction & Appraisals. Lyle was named Senior Champion Auctioneer for the State of Texas in 1990.
Lyle is survived by his wife Denise of Round Rock, TX, son Bret of Austin, TX, daughter Sara of Hutto, TX. Please keep Lyle’s family in your prayers.

Miracles Still Happen
Yvonne Jones called me to ask everyone to pray for Renee Jones. Renee had surgery in Houston on 10-20-2021. She was recovering so she traveled to Gainesville to be with her mom (Yvonne). On 10-29, Renee had extensive internal bleeding. She had lost a lot of blood and had to be rushed to the hospital. She had a broken artery in her chest the doctor said if she had got there 15 minutes later, she probably wouldn’t have survived. Praise God for answered prayer.
Thanks to all of you who are prayer warriors. Jesus states in scripture in Matthew 7:7:
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
8 For every one that asked receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Jesus did numerous miracles. As we share our experiences with each other, we see that numerous miracles continue to occur every day. One of our friends had the Covid virus. She went to the doctor and her doctor refused to give her anything except vitamin C & zinc. She took some Ivomec & was well in 2 days.
Currently, Ivermectin has already been adopted by 25 percent of the world’s countries to prevent and treat COVID-19. Bangladesh, where Ivermectin is broadly used in almost every home, enjoys a 99 percent lower per capita death rate from COVID-19 than the US. Bangladesh, with 160 million inhabitants, has half the US population. However, it has merely 10,000 COVID-19 deaths. Contrast that with nearly 580,000 US deaths in our country of 327 million. Some report 700,000.
On October 19, we received this from Stan Young: “We are very thankful that today’s surgery went well” Stan was giving us an update on Lou Ann. She is still having some health issues so continue to pray for her.
It is great to know when FCAI sends out emails with a prayer request, you respond. Praise God for all of you.
We wanted to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas! Join us in celebrating Christ’s birthday.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes. lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Gideon Bible
Kevin Lane, who does a 3:16 devotional that we send out, was talking to a Gideon. The Gideon had been to a prison and a prisoner said he wanted a small testament. He told the Gideon he used the pages to smoke. The Gideon said he would give him a testament if he would agree to read each page before he smoked it. When the prisoner got to John 3: 16, he stopped smoking them.
We serve a great God! Praise God for answered prayer.

God Provides
This morning it was 7 degrees in Hillsboro. Our son David had 0 in Saint Louis and a friend near Joplin, MO had 2 below zero. Many in south Texas had snow and ice.
Through all this cold weather, God provides for us as well as livestock.
For a newborn calf to be born and survive when it is 14 degrees is a miracle. The calf has to start nursing immediately to survive. The cow has colostrum which provides the calf with special nourishment when it starts nursing. If God can provide for a baby calf, He can provide for our needs.
As Jesus said:
"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns: yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"
When taking care of the cattle in cold weather, the cattle have to be fed hay and some high protein feed such as cotton seed, syrup, or cubes. Ice has to be broken on ponds, so the cattle can get water. If a newborn calf does not get up and nurse, we take it in to a warm area and feed it. We use our auction sound truck to move the baby calves.
While checking the cattle this morning, not only were the cattle at the feed trough eating hay, many birds and three wild turkeys were there as well. God has provided for all of these.
Pease pray for State Trooper Damon Allen’s family. Trooper Allen went to be with the Lord after a traffic stop in November in Freestone County.
If you need encouragement, these scripture passages provide promises.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your path.
>Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I and your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go

Praise God for our Friends
We had another auctioneer who went to be with the Lord on May 1st, 2017. Our good friend, Bob Manning, was called home after a brief illness. Bob faithfully served the Fellowship of Christin Auctioneers International (FCAI), NAA, TAA, and was a strong supporter of the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, (TSRHC). Everyone enjoyed seeing Bob at the NAA & TAA conventions. Whenever we arrived, Bob and Nancy were already there greeting not only their friends but anyone who attended. Bob was a member of the TAA Hall of Fame.
I was honored when Nancy asked me to conduct the services for Bob. Auctioneers from across the U.S. attended the funeral. Memorials may be sent to TSRHC or FCAI. Please keep Nancy and the family in your prayers.
Jesus gives the promise of eternal life.
In John II vs 25 & 26, Jesus said
“I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And who so ever lives and believes in Me shall never die.”
Than in verse 35, scripture states,
“Jesus wept”.
Jesus had lost his friend, Lazarus. Jesus had come to comfort his friends, Mary and Martha who had lost their brother.
Farmers and Ranchers need your prayers. After two years of low commodity and cattle prices, many will be forced to go out of business if economical conditions do not improve. The cattle we sold in 2014 brought around $1400 per head. The ones we sold recently brought $700.00 per head. An Auctioneer we work with lost approximately $500,000 last year.
It was great to see everyone at the TAA convention. Rick Stroud read a list of deceased Texas Auctioneers at the Tuesday night banquet. We have lost so many friends over the years. We celebrated TAA’s 60th anniversary.
Congratulations to Lori Lemons Campbell who was inducted into the TAA Hall of Fame.
T.J. Freije, who won the NAA Auctioneer’s contest, was one of our speakers at the convention. He gave his testimony and shared his faith.
We missed Henry and Pat Storey who attended 51 consecutive TAA conventions. They are doing fine.
